"FIRST RESPONDER" EMERGENCY HYPNOSIS CLASS This three hour class is designed to support First Responders to help their patients (and ultimately themselves,) have a less stressful experience during an emergency situation. I believe strongly in the value and impact Hypnosis can have in many situations, including the field of medicine, where Hypnosis was given credence as early as the 1950’s, by the A.M.A., regarding its merit in helping patients. The field of Psychoneuroimmunology has shown the powerful effect the mind has on the body, which is why Hypnosis is considered a Complimentary Alternative Modality (CAM) and is showing up in doctor’s offices and hospitals across the nation. Simply put, the value of Hypnosis lies in its stress reducing, relaxation enhancing benefits that help people focus the power of their mind to achieve small and great goals. Many people have been finding ways to help during this pandemic. I am offering a complimentary (3 hour, 9-12 pm) hypnosis class for First Responders, on Zoom! Whether you are a Fire Fighter, an EMT, a Nurse, a Medical Tech, a Police person, or an M.D., you are coming in contact in emergency situations, with people who are frightened, panicky and are in various stages of shock and consciousness. In that state of being, humans are already in a trance state. Knowing how to use simple hypnosis “caring commands” creates rapport with your patients at an awful time in their lives and can get them to do as you say for their greatest benefit. Using conversational directive commands, done the right way, can either help your patient calm and possibly stabilize, or better, or you can watch them “slip down the rabbit hole” of fear, drama and trauma, a recipe for future PTSD for them and possibly for you, or worse. As strong as you have to be, responding to patients in emergency situations, research shows compounding stress impacts; sleep, appetite, drinking control, anger management, depression, anxiety and family relationships. This accumulated stress and the feelings of helplessness that come from the build-up of long hours, fears about staying healthy so you don’t bring the virus home, losing colleagues, not being able to help more, impacts the mental, emotional and physical health of First Responders. If this appeals to the Director of your hospital, Dr.’s office, fire station, Rescue Squad, et al, I would like to speak with you about taking my free class. Once I have a good group interested in spending 3 hours on a Saturday morning, from 9-12 pm, I will create a date, in June. I can be reached at 609) 397-1844.
